In the competition was rewarded the archeological level of the “Saint Sofia” Basilica, which is part of our museum. The winner was chosen based on the innovative approach by the socialization of the cultural heritage of Sofia and its transformation into an unique tourist attraction. D
uring the summer of 2015 the “Standart” newspaper held an open lesson for children in the underground museum. It was part of the campaign “Wonders of Bulgaria”. Then the children were shown around the museum personally by Deputy Mayor Dr. Todor Chobanov.
The archeological level of the Basilica “St. Sofia” was open for visitors on 24th of May 2013. Since then more than 100 000 people visited the archeological museum.
